Ever-expanding aviation will not help us meet our critically important climate reduction targets. Heathrow’s third runway sadly was approved by the Commons of course, and Luton Airport is also set too expand with ambitions to at least double the current number of passengers. Economic benefits are argued for but at what price to us all in terms of local air pollution and devastating global climate change?
