Something a little different from our usual BCCF monthly film screenings…
We are very happy to have a talk, with film clips, from local bee keeper and committed environmentalist, Colin Hall:
‘I have been a beekeeper now for forty five years, and do not want my love affair ever to end. This will be an evening about bees and beekeeping – but also fundamental questions about our relationship with the natural world in the face of environmental disaster. Can we be helped and healed? And thus the Earth itself?’
There will be no feature length film this time, but a talk with pictures, reflection and discussion, film excerpts, part of a beautiful film about bees made in Bedfordshire. Warning: scenes of a sexual nature will be screened
Everyone is welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes beforehand to help us ensure a prompt start.
Wednesday April 11th 7.30-9.30.
